Demonstration Graphic

With the recent death of Houston area native George Floyd, a group of local citizens has organized a demonstration for Saturday, June 6, at noon. The group has been in contact with local authorities and ensures their intent is a peaceful protest. The group is scheduled to gather at Bates Park in Angleton, proceed North on Walker Street, East on Hwy 35, North on N. Erskine Street, East on Locust Street, and to the South Lawn of The Brazoria County Courthouse. Intermittent road closures are to be expected, and designated parking has been established for the protection of all. The City is working collaboratively with state and local agencies to ensure overall support of a safe and peaceful protest. If you have questions or concerns about this event, please contact (979) 848-5691 for more information. Please dial 911 if you have an emergency.

Thank you,
