Bonnie McDaniel - City Council, Position  4

There will be a General Runoff Election of the City of Angleton on June 15th for City Council, Position 2, between Nicole Ochoa Svoboda and Gregg Dykes.

DRAWING FOR A PLACE ON THE GENERAL RUN-OFF BALLOT WILL BE HELD AT THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON TUESDAY, MAY 21, 2013.

There are currently 3 vacancies for Alternates on the Board of Adjustments and 1 vacancy for Board Member on the Planning and Zoning Commission. For more information about the boards and their responsibilities, click on the Government tab and then on each individual board name. Got Drugs?

The Angleton Police Department will be sponsoring a FREE "Prescription Drug Take Back" on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Drive thru and drop off your unused or expired medications at the Angleton Junior High at 1201 Henderson Road from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Be safe and help protect our environment, waterways, and families by bringing your unwanted medications to be disposed of properly.

Relay for Life

Relay for Life will be held on Friday, April 19th, from 6:00 PM until Saturday, April 20th, at 6:00 AM. Come join us at the Old Wildcat Stadium as we support the American Cancer Society and their research to fight cancer.

In preparation for the event, The City of Angleton's "Walkers on the Wild Side" walking team will host a 18-Hole Golf Tournament on April 12th at the West Brazos Golf Club in Brazoria at 6:00 PM. A Bowling Tournament and Baked Goods Silent Auction will be held at the Angleton Bowling Center on Saturday, April 13th, at 3:00 and 5:30 PM. Raffle tickets for a homemade cedar double rocker, on display in the lobby, are available from the receptionist at City Hall. Come check out the other raffle items at our booth the night of the event. The drawings will be held at the event and winners will be notified on Monday, April 22. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.
